Mid-Summer Progress as of June 18, 2022

Over these past few weeks, I have been working on a few projects some personal and others for good friends. Below are some of the works in progress that I am proud to show.

The New Airship for Project Ishmael WIP

This Airship has taken a long time to get this far and still needs a few more touches before texturing such as placing the skull of one of the creatures in the film on the stern of the ship as a decorative piece.

Project Ishmael Crew WIP

Continuing the short film work in progress, the bust designs of some of the main crew of the ship. To keep it easy on myself, I went with designing the characters in a style that I’m comfortable making quickly. A mixture of Pixar, Disney, and Arcane from Riot that I practiced last winter. Still working on the main character, captain, and first mate.

Raw Metal the Game WIP

Working on a game as the Technical Artist for my good friend Corrigan Owen based on his really well Animated short film Raw Metal with a fantastic programer Zack Wilson. It’s going to be a stealth rouge-like beat ‘em up designed to look like his film but better. So far I created the revised rigs that Corrigan is using to Animate and the basic environment building blocks so we can make variations of levels either by hand or code. We are also using Unity’s new experimental toon style shader to get the look we are going for. As of now its still in its early stage but its been fun diving back into unity and a game project.
