RIT End of Semester Screenings.
Every semester RIT holds screenings of student films, this semester I participated in a few of those projects with some fantastic people that I’m honored and grateful to have met and worked with. Here are a few of those great films for this year.
Note: Since these are student films from RIT some of the ways to view them now is through RIT SOFAtube. So I made links.

RIT SOFA 2022 Honors Show
Trinity Film Festival: Audience choice 2022
Logline: A stranded astronaut receives a transmission for rescue, and must take a leap of faith.
Note on Corrigan and James: This dynamic duo is the best at what they do and that is making badass films. They aren't just great to work with but all-around great to hang out with. They both worked so hard on this film and that effort paid off with this festival-worthy short.

RIT SOFA 2022 Honors Show
Logline: A Cyborg who's low on power tries to get a drink from a Vending Machine, but then things escalate quickly!
Note on Fabian: A really energetic sophomore with a really promising career as a character animator he picked up the Unreal pipeline really quick and isn’t afraid of asking for advice or help (Which I struggle to do sometimes). Also just all-around enjoyable talks about things other than 3d work.
By: Priscilla Nascimento
Logline: Two pigeons simply want a bagel to eat!
Note on Priscilla: A really good environment artist that definitely will have a career in it. Even though I only met her mid-semester due to some technical difficulty in implementing the rigs in unreal she was patient with me debugging the issue and was able to replicate the results to get it to work really well in this fun to watch film.
By: Bailey Cohen
Logline: A janitor robot replaces parts of his body in order to better fit in with the other robots at a toy factory.
Note on Bailey: One of the best riggers I’ve met at RIT. I’ve only really known Bailey through class interactions from modeling and coding but from those interactions, I saw a very technical and knowledge-diven person. So when she ask for some help on a few background models I accepted.
By: Emilie Gronski
Logline: A rubber ducky's first bath.
Note on Emilie: One of the most hardworking people I’ve met and a big team player and leader. Even though her goal is to be a producer she learns the 3d pipeline prosses herself from modeling, rigging, and coding as well as the live-action side of the Entertainment industry which I believe will make her a better team player when it comes to working with those in the film and games world.
